Blantons Single Barrel Gold Takara Japanese Bourbon Whiskey

Distributed exclusively in Japan by Takara, Blanton’s Takara Gold Edition Bourbon is one of the most sought-after and limited expressions on the market. This bourbon is aged for at least 8 years, which is two years more than the requirement for the standard Gold variety.

Smooth and exceptionally complex, this sublime bourbon is bottled at 103 proof and comes in a luxurious gold box, equipped with dark red wax surrounding the stopper, which separates it from the standard gold versions. In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born on a farm situated just outside of Frankfort, Kentucky. At the age of 16, Blanton began working at the Old Fire Copper Distillery (often abbreviated O.F.C. Distillery) as an office boy. Over the next few years, Blanton reportedly worked in every department at the distillery. By the age of 20, he was appointed the superintendent of O.F.C, and worked there until his retirement in 1952.

Much like his mentor, E.H. Taylor, Blanton was a traditional bourbon aristocrat, wedded to the production of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Blanton identified a certain section of Warehouse H at his distillery, which he believed was the best for aging bourbon, and would personally select individual barrels from the section to bottle for his own private reserve. In doing so, Blanton’s Private Reserve became the first single barrel bourbon ever.

I’m not one to refrigerate my bourbon, preferring a room temperature shot from time to time. The first notes of Noah’s were wonderful. There was a soft heat and the fruity notes were lovely. As time went on and we got closer to the bottom of the bottle, it heated. Harshly. We are not aficionados and perhaps didn’t treat this whiskey quite right, but that last shot was really tough. I might take to refrigerating in the future …

This place is HUGE! They have a massive selection of wines and beers, liquor section is impressive as well. They always have the newest releases as well, so it’s a must-stop even if to just see what they got in. Easy access from the turnpike also.

He very rarely gets his hands on it so I thought I’d try this site out so I can get him some for Christmas. It arrived in a little over a week, and was packaged phenomenally and there were no issues. Diese preisgünstige Köstlichkeit ist in Ohio schwer zu finden (es sei denn, ich fliege mit einem Allegiant-Flug) und ich würde lieber einen Tritt in die Juwelen genießen, als in den frühen Morgenstunden an einem bestimmten Datum in der Schlange in einem heimtückischen Spirituosenladen zu stehen, der ( versteckt) den Großteil des Inventars für ihre „Kumpels“. Da ich nicht auf den Saft angewiesen bin, bin ich glücklich und bereit, mehr als vier Wochen auf die Lieferung dieses preiswerten Nektars zu einem ANGEMESSENSWERTEN Preis zu warten! Er bekommt es sehr selten in die Hände, also dachte ich, ich probiere mal diese Seite aus, damit ich ihm welche zu Weihnachten besorgen kann.
