About Blanton’s

In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born on a farm situated just outside of Frankfort, Kentucky. At the age of 16, Blanton began working at the Old Fire Copper Distillery (often abbreviated O.F.C. Distillery) as an office boy. Over the next few years, Blanton reportedly worked in every department at the distillery. By the age of 20, he was appointed the superintendent of O.F.C, and worked there until his retirement in 1952.

Much like his mentor, E.H. Taylor, Blanton was a traditional bourbon aristocrat, wedded to the production of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Blanton identified a certain section of Warehouse H at his distillery, which he believed was the best for aging bourbon, and would personally select individual barrels from the section to bottle for his own private reserve.

Very clean Shelf is always fresh. I come here at least once a week and I never was disappointed. They have a bathroom. Just parking is a little bit difficult. Just park on the front! Enjoy!

My father in law searches high and low for this (and Blanton’s) each time it comes in stock locally. He very rarely gets his hands on it so I thought I’d try this site out so I can get him some for Christmas. It arrived in a little over a week, and was packaged phenomenally and there were no issues. I’m not one to refrigerate my bourbon, preferring a room temperature shot from time to time. The first notes of Noah’s were wonderful. There was a soft heat and the fruity notes were lovely. As time went on and we got closer to the bottom of the bottle, it heated. Harshly. We are not aficionados and perhaps didn’t treat this whiskey quite right, but that last shot was really tough. I might take to refrigerating in the future …

Hard to find this economical deliciousness in Ohio (unless departing on an Allegiant flight) and I’d rather absorb a kick in the jewels than wait in line, in the early hours, on a designated date, at an insidious liquor store that withholds (hides) the vast majority of inventory for their “buddies”. Since I’m not dependent on the juice, I’m happy and willing to wait the 4+ weeks for delivery of this reasonably priced nectar at a REASONABLE price! Thanks, Bourbon Whiskey Distillery!

Es herrschte eine sanfte Hitze und die fruchtigen Noten waren herrlich. Als die Zeit verging und wir uns dem Boden der Flasche näherten, erwärmte sie sich. Hart. Wir sind keine Kenner und haben diesen Whisky vielleicht nicht ganz richtig behandelt, aber der letzte Schuss war wirklich hart. Vielleicht werde ich in Zukunft mit dem Kühlen anfangen …

Mein Schwiegervater sucht jedes Mal, wenn es vor Ort auf Lager ist, intensiv nach diesem (und dem von Blanton). Er bekommt es sehr selten in die Hände, also dachte ich, ich probiere mal diese Seite aus, damit ich ihm welche zu Weihnachten besorgen kann. Es kam in etwas mehr als einer Woche an, war phänomenal verpackt und es gab keine Probleme. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, es ihm zu schenken!
